BIO
I grew up in a small town in Kansas, where big skies open up and there is a wonderful sense of vast space around you. I think that influenced my painting early on and still does. I started out painting landscapes and that has evolved into my abstractions today. I started studying art as a youngster and later attended the Kansas City Art Institute, and Skowhegan School of Painting.
After art school I moved to Boston and spent several years there connecting to other artists who inspired and influenced me. I later moved to Roosevelt, New Jersey, which has a rich history, and many artists, noteworthy photographer’s musicians and writers lived and still live. I also like its proximity to New York, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia.
I have had numerous one-person shows in NYC and group shows across the United States..
